Maria Higginson Sampler 1837 Stacy Nash

This sweet little sampler is an adaptation of an antique sampler in my collection. I substituted cross stitch flower stems in the bottom corners and butterflies in the top corners where the antique had a bit of embroidery. I think the house is my all time favorite on this sampler, it is magnificent. And the little dog or cat, I’ll let you decide, on the path to the front door.

I stitched this sampler on 36 count
