Golden Needle
Hungarian Biscornu Siren Stitchworks
This redwork biscornu was inspired by a 19th-century embroidery in the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest. We’ve reimagined this ornate household textile as a biscornu, perfect for use as a pincushion or sachet. The design may also be worked up into a two-sided square and hung as an ornament.
This pattern features full cross stitch and back stitch. The model was stitched on 32-count Antique White linen from Zweigart using DMC 304.
Design size (per side): 79 stitches wide x 79 stitches high
