Now for the rest of the story...
My husband and I have enjoyed 7 years here in the Sunshine State. But, as many of you know, we are from Texas. My husband's job has opened up a new facility in Austin, Texas and we have decided to take the opportunity to move closer to family (our son, my mom, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, you name it, they're almost all there).
So, that being said, we are NOT closing. Jess (young lady that has been at the shop for 2 years now) has purchased Golden Needle Embroidery and will continue to do machine embroidery from this location. I will be MOVING Golden Needle Cross Stitch and Needlework to Texas. We do not have a concrete date-driven timeline as of yet, much of that will be dictated by when our house sells. We do have a sequence of events: a whopping moving sale (obviously), a packing party followed by a goodbye party, move, potentially reactivate the online shop, new premises in between Austin and San Antonio hopefully by January.
This is bittersweet news to announce as we have made many good friends through the years here and will miss everyone. However, we could not miss the opportunity to return home and are excited to be close to family.
