Hello Everyone!
March appears to be rolling in like a lion this year and I am running full speed to stay up with! The main thing happening is Market with the capital M. Every spring we go to Nashville and shop for 3 days, meeting designers and looking at all the new charts, fabrics, and whatnot. This year, Market was scheduled, delayed, cancelled, and finally virtual- on the original weekend, this weekend. I added (and am still adding) charts and fabric as I receive information from the designers in a pre-order category on the website called Market Preorders. If there is something you really want, please preorder, that way I will make sure I purchase it/enough of it. If there is something you want, but don't see on the website, please let me know so I can look for it. As I said, I am adding things as I receive the information. After Market weekend, I will convert the category to Market Items and it will only have the actual items and quantities that I ordered available. We will have a Market Day event on March 27th but the items will be available on the website prior to that. I will be adding them as they physically arrive at the shop.(The downside of the virtual market, everything has to be shipped.)
Sit N Stitch will be on March 14th from 1-3pm on the second Saturday as usual. Please RSVP as Jessica will be hosting it since I will be at a wedding. Stitch Night will be March 17th on the 3rd Wednesday evening of the month from 6-9pm. It's St. Patrick's Day so wear green and again, please RSVP.
Speaking of St. Patrick's Day, put your green on that day in the shop to save some green!
Along the lines of saving green... the March Designer of the Month, DOM, is Satsuma Street. Satsuma Street is Jody Rice. She has been designing since 2013 and we have carried her designs since 2019. Her background is quite varied including costume design and animation, encompassing both textile and graphic arts. Her designs are bright, colorful and whimsical. Many of her charts are kitted up with perforated paper. As always, DOM designs are 20% for the month.
